ABOUT US

HAVRE Graffiti is a custom mural company that originated in Columbus, Ohio by graffiti artist HAVRE (Paul Woronecki), and his wife, Raquel. In March of 2021, Paul and Raquel pursued their dream of buying a little homestead in the beautiful wooded hills of Lincoln, Missouri, leaving behind the city life. One of the first things they did when they moved is bulit a 28 foot “graffiti” wall, where Paul paints new designs throughout the year that the community has come to enjoy.

HAVRE Graffiti specializes in creating custom murals for homes, businesses, schools, and barns, providing a wide variety of artistic styles and subjects. HAVRE also enjoys painting on legal graffiti walls around the country, and his art has been featured on news stations, other prominent nationwide graffiti blogs, and in the good ole fashioned newspaper.

OUR MISSION

Our mission at HAVRE Graffiti is to transform ordinary spaces into inspiring works of art. We believe in the power of creativity to connect communities, express individuality, and bring joy to everyday environments—one mural, one project, and one product at a time.

WHAT DOES "HAVRE" MEAN?

One of the questions we hear most often is, “What does HAVRE mean?” Havre is a Norse word that means “safe haven.” Paul chose the name "HAVRE" for his graffiti and business as it captures his passion for creating art in places where it’s both welcomed and legal.

At HAVRE Graffiti, our hope is to foster excitement for murals and street art in public spaces—making it possible for more graffiti artists to create legally and for communities to experience the positive impact of public art. As HAVRE Graffiti grows, our dream is to create more opportunities and spaces where artists can paint without risk and where the beauty of murals and street art can be celebrated by all.

MEET THE ARTIST

PAUL "HAVRE" WORONECKI

Paul Woronecki, whose graffiti tag name is "HAVRE," was that kid doodling in his notebook, drawing on the walls at home, and exploring various art forms. Born in Columbus, Ohio, his mom supported his artistic inclinations, and his passion for art grew.

As a teenager, he began noticing graffiti in the city and on train cars as they passed. He began experimenting with a spray can, and started his graffiti career painting train cars. This was not a sustainable (or legal) art form, so he stopped spray painting and took a break from art for a bit.

When Paul met his wife, Raquel, he began doodling and drawing graffiti sketches again. Impressed with his talents, Raquel surprised him by building a plywood wall in her backyard and a few cans of spray paint. The passion for painting graffiti was quickly reignited (on legal walls only), and Paul chose his new graffiti tag name, "HAVRE."

Paul challenged himself to build upon his robust repertoire of spray painting and artistry skills, and in 2020, he and his wife started HAVRE Graffiti. Since then, Paul has painted hundreds of murals, and has been privileged with the opportunity to pursue his passion for art full time. He is also a member of the "Low Life's Crew," a graffiti crew comprised of talented artists nationwide.

Though he has mastered several art styles, HAVRE's favorite style to spray paint is realism, which is painting realistic images of animals, people, or things.
